Robline Dinghy Control is a commonly used rope, found on many different classes of boat. Roblines Dinghy Control is Roblines best selling and most broadly used rope. It's has an extremely abrasive cover that consists of highly twisted polyester, matched with a Dyneema core.
It's 1.7mm diameter is one of a kind. Robline Dinghy Control 1.7mm is special because it has a cover, which is unique compared to other ropes than are less than 2mm in diameter which are often just exposed Dyneema. This provides Robline Dinghy Control 1.7mm with increased resistance to abrasion compared to it's competitors. On top of this it has a 150kg breaking load.
If you're looking for a rope that is miniture, that still possesses high breaking loads, and abrasion resistant properties that are commonly charaterised with higher diameter cords, then Robline Dinghy Control is your best option. - With Robline Dinghy Control possesing the same abrasive characteristics of larger diameter ropes, while being 1.7mm, Robline Dinghy Control can be used for many different purposes around a boat. However it's commonly used for Optimist Ties. It's thin nature make it suitable for Optimist Ties. It's coarse cover make it easy to tie knots with, as the cover helps avoid the rope slipping after the knot is tied, which is crucial for Optimist sail ties, which are commonly tied together using a reef knot, that are prone to loosening/slipping after they've been tied.
