- Chafe guard is commonly used in areas where Dyneema rubs against a surface, in areas such as; a spinnaker pole tack line, a main halyard, a jib sheet . If you continue to find your Dyneema fraying, splicing some chafe guard can ensure you're dyneema wont break will be worth your time.
